Kalavedika NTR Film Awards 2024 Celebrated with Grandeur

The Kalavedika NTR Film Awards 2024 were celebrated with grandeur and solemn dignity in a prestigious ceremony conducted under the aegis of the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana. Organized by Kalavedika, the event was held to commemorate the Jayanthi of the legendary Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) and to honour his unparalleled contribution to Telugu cinema, culture, and public life.

The awards ceremony stood as a tribute to cinematic excellence and cultural values, reflecting NTR’s enduring legacy and his visionary impact on generations of Telugu people.

Legacy and Leadership

The event was inspired by the ideals and cultural vision of late Sri R. V. Ramanamurthy, veteran film producer, founder of Kalavedika, and a lifelong advocate of Telugu cinema and culture. His legacy continues through his daughter Ms. Bhuvana Rayavarapu, who has been the driving force behind Kalavedika’s continued commitment to arts, cinema, and cultural service.

Renowned cinematographer and NTR’s son, Sri Nandamuri Mohan Krishna, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding immense prestige and emotional significance to the celebration.

Honouring Courage, Cinema, and Cultural Excellence

As part of the celebrations, the NTR Desh Rakshak Awards were instituted to honour the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotic service of India’s armed forces personnel.

The NTR Lifetime Achievement Awards 2024 were conferred upon Sri Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao and Smt. N. R. Anuradha in recognition of their decades-long, invaluable contributions to Telugu cinema.

A special commemorative publication titled “Nata Sarvabhoumudu” was released on the occasion, paying homage to the legendary stature of NTR as an actor, cultural icon, and visionary leader.

Addressing the gathering, Sri T. Prasanna Kumar highlighted NTR’s far-reaching vision for the growth and global recognition of Telugu cinema. Lifetime Achievement awardee Sri Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao reflected on NTR’s monumental role in giving Telugu identity worldwide prominence. Veteran actor Sri Madala Ravi remarked that NTR was the rare leader who transformed the love of cinema audiences into a powerful social and political movement.
